Terms & Conditions

Bathroom Supply & Installation

Prices are open to acceptance up to three months from date of estimate. Once an estimate has been accepted, any changes or additions will be subject to a price review. Dates given for commencement of work are approximate only. Whilst every effort will be made to keep to a given date, work can sometimes be delayed. The client will be notified near the expected date.

 

All labour carried out is guaranteed for 365 days from date of completion. All materials used are guaranteed as per manufactures warranty.
Unfortunately, no guarantee will be given on materials if they are not supplied by Cozy Heat Plumbing & Heating, unless it has been agreed beforehand. We only supply quality materials from well-known brands that we are used to dealing with.


Cozy Heat Plumbing & Heating reserves the right to withdraw from site if the contract payment schedule is not adhered to. Title and ownership of the materials and equipment will not pass to the client until final payment has been made. Any materials can be recoverable by Cozy Heat Plumbing & Heating in the event of non-payment. The client agrees to allow access to site for this purpose. By accepting the estimate given by Cozy Heat Plumbing & Heating the client is also accepting these Terms and Conditions. We cannot accept responsibility for wear and tear of tile grout and silicone as these are perishable products. Cancellation of work will incur loss of earnings charge of 25% of initial agreed values of works.

Customer must have a skip on site for the installation. A skip is not included in the quote and should be supplied by the customer. Due to the vibrations caused when removing existing bathroom suite and tiles. This can sometimes cause cracks in plaster and redecoration may be required by the customer in the event of this happening. 


Payment Terms - deposit of all materials total due on booking installation, the final balance is due to be paid on day of completion for installation labour this payment is made to the installers on completion. Method of payment is by credit/debit card. Paying by finance is available, please contact the office for details 01324 870953. Finance installation payment terms, please refer to your finance agreement. If payment if not received as outline above, the invoice will be adjusted to include interest payable at 3% per month above base rate.  Non-payment for goods and/or services as agreed will result in legal action as per the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Scotland) Regulations 2002. 

Boiler Supply & Installation

Dates given for commencement of work are approximate only. Whilst every effort will be made to keep to a given date, work can sometimes be delayed. The client will be notified near the expected date.

 

All labour carried out is guaranteed for 365 days from date of completion. All materials used are guaranteed as per manufactures warranty.
Unfortunately, no guarantee will be given on materials if they are not supplied by Cozy Heat Plumbing & Heating, unless it has been agreed beforehand. We only supply quality materials from well-known brands that we are used to dealing with. The lifting of floor coverings are the customers responsibility and the moving of furniture. This estimate excludes the making good of any flooring or incidental redecoration subsequent upon the proper execution of this installation.

 

Conventional to combi boiler installations - Due to increased pressure with new boilers, existing pipework and showers may require to be upgrading, as old showers and pipework may not be able to take mains pressure water supplied by a combi boiler. Should pipework or showers need upgraded this is a cost that will be met by the customer.

Installation 

 

To subsequently carry out an installations correctly, sometimes slight redecoration/adulteration's may be required. This cost will be met by the customer. Care is always taken when installing to try and prevent this however due to every job being unique sometimes alterations/redecoration may be needed.

 

Whilst every care will be taken by the Company it accepts no liability for any damage to plaster work, decorations, flooring, etc. which may be consequent upon the carrying out of the work detailed. Cuts or holes made to allow for equipment will be made good but not permanently finished or re-decorated. Floorboards will be re-instated or replaced where necessary, but special and/or laminated floors cannot be permanently re-fixed. Any carpets which must be lifted will be re-laid to the best of our engineer’s ability, however we cannot be held responsible for carpets which have been nailed or glued down. It should be anticipated that an amount of re-decoration may be required, and this will be the Customer’s responsibility and is not included in the price. Removal of old flues Cozy Heat will brick up and cement old flue holes, it is the responsibility of the customer to render/roughcast over the cement to prevent water ingress.  Removal of old vertical flue Cozy Heat will remove and seal up the flue hold, it is the customers responsibility to employ and roofer to install room tiles/slates to prevent the ingress of water. 


The customer is responsible for the disposable of all packaging waste, rubble and refuge left after the job, we will dispose of these materials in your correct recycling bins.  The engineers will dispose of all packaging waste, rubble and refuge left after the job, we will dispose of these materials in your correct recycling bins.  Existing boiler and cylinder will be taken away and recycled. 

Payment Terms 

Our payment terms for all jobs-

Servicing appointments are paid at the time of booking, when booking online & over the phone.

Repairs and maintenance jobs require 1 hour’s labour to be paid at the time of booking.

If additional labour and materials are required, the attending engineer will take payment for any materials and additional labour.

Installations – Deposit will be taken at the time of booking, and 5 days before the installation a hold will be placed on your card for the remaining payment due, to ensure funds are available to cover the remaining payment.

This payment is due on the day of installation, and the payment will automatically be debited on the day of completion via the hold placed on your card for the remaining balance.

We accept payments by card & fiance only, no cash payments accepted. 

Finance installation payment terms, please refer to your finance agreement. 1) We will acknowledge your complaint promptly within 5 working days of receipt.
 
2) We will investigate your complaint and endeavour to send a final response to you within 4 weeks of receipt of your complaint. If we are unable to provide you with a final response within this time we will send you an update. 
 
3) We will endeavour to send a final response to you within 2 weeks of receipt of your complaint. If we are unable to provide you with a final response within this time frame, we will write to you explaining why and advise you when you can expect a final response.
